Eternal rose. Preserved rose. Sold by the box of 6 Roses
There are many names for these timeless flowers, but some are a bit misleading. Preserved roses do last a long time, but not indefinitely. Generally, these roses last between one and three years.
So how are preserved roses preserved? Unlike pressed flowers or dried foliage, preserved roses are treated with a chemical substance, usually a non-toxic silica-based solution.
With this technique, the petals are individually coated so that each rose looks and feels like a fresh bloom.
Roses from Ecuador are most commonly used for this process because the flowers are robust, have vibrant petals, and are also easily dyed in colors not found in nature.
